The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed Eastern District of Michigan Judge Mark Goldsmith’s decision to sanction attorney Andrew Paterson for his frivolous conduct during litigation related to the financing of the Little Caesar’s Arena. Judge Goldsmith ordered Paterson to pay sanctions to Fink Bressack’s clients, the Detroit Downtown Development Authority and the Detroit Brownfield Authority. Among other things, the Sixth Circuit noted that “Paterson quickly runs out of conclusions, so he shifts to misrepresentations.”
