Students at The Ohio State University are not protected by lawsuits filed against other schools.

Fink Bressack, a leading class action law firm, has filed lawsuits against many schools, including University of Toledo, Michigan State University, and University of Michigan, seeking a refund for tuition and fees paid for the semester interrupted by COVID-19. You can see a copy of the University of Toledo lawsuit here.

All of these schools refuse to refund any portion of tuition payments, despite the shift to online classes.

“Students and their parents paid for in person classroom education, with labs and hands-on experience, but for half of the semester they have been receiving the type of online education that should cost far less.

“That’s just not fair,” said David Fink, the managing partner of Fink Bressack.

“We are filing these lawsuits to protect the students. Nobody is blaming the universities for the current situation, but the students shouldn’t be forced to subsidize their schools during these difficult economic times,” explained Fink.
